BitDefender Opens U.S. Global Marketing Headquarters in Silicon Valley

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – October 9, 2007 – BitDefender®, a global provider of award-winning antivirus and data security solutions, announced today the opening of its Silicon Valley office. The office, located at 650 Castro Street, in Mountain View, will act as the company’s global marketing headquarters as well as a west coast North American sales office. The company also has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Bucharest, Romania.

The new office currently houses eight full-time employees with 15-20 planned by the end of 2008. The office is managed by Global Marketing Director Beau Roberts. Roberts is a software and Internet security industry veteran with more than 17 years of experience. He has held senior roles in product management, product marketing, channel, as well as direct marketing of consumer and business software solutions for companies such as McAfee (NYSE:MFE), Computer Associates (NYSE:CA), Trend Micro (US:TMICY) , and Cheyenne Software.
